Is Blackboard Sync available for the Vista and CE product lines?
Unfortunately, because of certain specifications of the Vista and CE products, we are not able to make Blackboard Sync available to users of the Vista and CE product lines at this time.
More specifically, the PowerLinks integration framework doesn't support equivalent course content APIs as the Building Blocks integration framework. Without those course content APIs it is not possible to extract the equivalent data from Vista and CE as can be extracted from the "classic" Blackboard Learning System through Building Blocks. Consequently, synchronization through PowerLinks is not possible at this time.
It is Blackboard's expectation to make Blackboard Sync available to all customers in the future.
