Institutions which do not want to install the Blackboard Sync Building Block or even to allow the open access connection to Blackboard Sync may opt out, and block the application for their students. This is can be done by your Blackboard System Administrator using instructions which will be made available prior to launch.
For institutions which have opted out, Blackboard Sync will display an error message informing the user that the institution has blocked Blackboard Sync. In addition to prohibiting new sync connections, any previously synced data will be deleted.
