Open access for students requires no action. With no effort on your part, students can install the Blackboard Sync Facebook Application themselves, provide the necessary credentials and start getting access to their own Blackboard data in their Facebook account.
Because there is no Blackboard Sync Building Block, storing the user credentials is necessary to enable Blackboard Sync to sync the user's content from the Blackboard Learning System. (More on storing credentials)
If there are still concerns with storing user credentials, we encourage you to install the Blackboard Sync Building Block.
