Blackboard Sync Building Block

The Blackboard Sync Building Block is an optional step you can take to have more control over student access and Blackboard Sync's interaction with your Blackboard system. By installing the Blackboard Sync Building Block:

  • the single sign-on functionality between the user's account on an external service such as Facebook and their Blackboard account, or between a device such as the iPhone and their Blackboard account, is managed by the Blackboard Sync Building Block,
  • no student credentials are stored by Blackboard Sync
  • the course information is pulled through the Blackboard Sync Building Block, using the established APIs, instead of screen-scraping
