About the Course:

Special Topics in Leisure – Strategic Management is a graduate-level course within the fully-online Recreation, Sport, and Tourism Masters program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  Students are required to define the problem their organization faces in forming a competitive advantage, formulate potential alternatives to solve these concerns, and communicate their recommendations for action. Students apply what they learn through weekly case studies, then reapply what they learned every 2-3 weeks to a larger case study, and finally compose a project applying the concepts learned throughout the course to their own organization.

From the Author:

“We employ a consistent set of templates and best practices for all of the courses developed through our office, thus the Blackboard ECP was helped us see not only what facets of this course met standards or needed improvement, but also how to validate and improve all of our courses.” ~ Jason Mock, Instructional Designer
